The region is known for high Elk densities due to quality habitat and a lack of intense hunting pressure.  Three Creek Ranch provides a sanctuary for Elk and other wildlife to bed, feed, and water year-round.  Over the years, the meticulous wildlife management on the ranch has contributed to trophy-caliber animals' presence, and there are additional habitat improvement projects that would improve the wildlife even more.  A network of small pools of water and over 4 miles of streams on the property provide abundant water sources for wildlife and excellent habitat for Brook Trout, making this a great small-water fishery.  The land affords a mountain lifestyle that is uncommon in New Mexico. AREA LIFESTYLE/RECREATION

• Angel Fire Resort is known for its backcountry ski runs and popular night skiing, plus they have tubing and fine dining on site.  In the summer there is a beautiful golf course, hiking trails, the largest mountain bike park in the Rocky Mountains (with 60+ miles of trails), zip-lines, tennis, and lots of restaurants.  
• Taos, New Mexico has shopping, snowmobiling, horseback riding, hot-air balloons, and hiking to Wheeler Peak (New Mexico’s tallest mountain).  There is world class fly fishing in the area on several rivers.  Taos Ski Valley is an Alpine ski resort with both groomed runs and backcountry skiing.  
• Angel Fire Airport (KAXX) is a private airport that can accommodate nearly every aircraft and charter flight.  Taos Air provides non-stop flights from Austin, Dallas, San-Diego, and Los Angeles and also operates as a private charter for a faster and easier way to travel.
• Santa Fe is the Capital city of nearly 90,000 residents with an abundance of activities.  Over 400 restaurants, art galleries, museums, symphonies, markets, and festivals give this historic city a variety of reasons to visit.  There is white water rafting, bike trails, historic sites and a vibrant nightlife, and the Santa Fe airport has direct flights from Dallas, Denver and Phoenix.   
• Nearby Eagles Nest Lake has both trout and salmon, and warm-water fish (smallmouth bass and channel catfish), and is a great place to canoe, kayak and paddleboard in the mornings.  Mount Verde Lake has fishing, boating and water sports.
• Only 5 minutes to Coyote Creek State Park, one of New Mexico's smallest state parks, but a favorite destination for serious anglers. Ideal for fly fishing, camping, hiking, and scenic views. Coyote Creek is a tributary of the Mora River.
• Located 1.5 hours away is the NRA Whittington Center which is easily accessible from I-25. More than 33,300 acres and 25 ranges are devoted to shooting for any discipline.
