LOCATION

Situated on the highest hill in Fish Creek Ranch, Bear Mountain Lodge is located roughly 30 minutes south of Laramie for immediate conveniences such as groceries and hospitals, and a little over an hour west of Cheyenne. The property is accessed via paved Highway 287, then five miles down county maintained Cherokee Park Road. Commercial air service is available through Laramie by way of Denver. Fish Creek Ranch borders Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest in Colorado, allowing easy access to additional recreation on public lands.

THE LAND

Bear Mountain Lodge sits on 35.25 acres deeded specifically to the homeowner, with access to over 3,700 acres owned by the Fish Creek Ranch community. HUNTING AND FISHING

Fish Creek Ranch operates as a wildlife preserve, so hunting is not allowed within the borders of the ranch. However, the community borders National Forest in Colorado Game Management Unit 8, allowing for quick and easy access to some of the best elk and deer hunting in Colorado. Unit 8 typically has over-the-counter tags for both elk and mule deer, allowing you to hunt year after year. Fish Creek Ranch contains multiple ponds for fishing, some of which are stocked, and some of which contain wild trout. Fishing access is not open to the public, giving homeowners and guests exclusive access to well-managed wildlife ecosystems.
