Property Description

Welcome to Wright’s Mesa Ranch, where luxury living meets premier Mule Deer hunting in the heart of the West. Enjoy observing trophy-class Mule Deer right from the house deck in the nearby pasture, and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the San Juan Mountains to the Southeast and the La Sal range in Utah to the Northwest.  Situated at an elevation of 7,000 feet, the 1,384± property features a diverse landscape with Piñon and Juniper wildlife bedding cover, long meadows that serve as vital food sources, and two year-round ponds that create the perfect environment to sustain herds of Mule Deer and Elk. Nestled in GMU 70, this ranch is renowned for its trophy Mule Deer and quality Elk, featuring resident herds of both species. Positioned in a major migration corridor, the property sees hundreds of Mule Deer and Elk pass through during each hunting season from archery to late rifle. The ranch qualifies for Landowner Preference Program Mule Deer vouchers, giving the owner the opportunity to draw Mule Deer tags annually.  Additionally, you can explore thousands of acres of BLM and National Forest lands nearby.

The ranch includes an impressive 3,200 square foot main house designed with an open floor plan, vaulted and beamed ceilings, wood floors, and a wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with Viking appliances, a gas cooktop, granite countertops, and beautiful cabinetry. The Master Suite offers a spa-like bath with dual vanities and a walkout balcony. Additionally, the property includes a renovated historic cabin and a barn with three bedrooms and two baths, providing ample space for hosting family and friends.

Located just 5.5 miles south of Redvale, Colorado, the ranch is conveniently situated 1.5 hours from Montrose & Telluride airports and less than an hour from the town or Telluride, Colorado; known for its world-class dining and winter sports, including skiing and snowboarding. For some fishing fun, Miramonte Reservoir offers multiple trout species including Rainbow, Brown, and Snake River Cutthroat, or drift fish the San Miguel River with a fly rod. National Parks are popular in this part of the West including Arches, Mesa Verde, and Canyonland.
