HUNTING

• ELK:  Elk are frequent on this property from archery (rutting activity) through late rifle seasons, as they seek out the food and water provided by the property.  The brushy cover provides them bedding cover and can be a sanctuary. The property sets up great for both archery and rifle hunting from the mix of open meadows and thicker cover.

• MULE DEER:  There is a high density of resident and migratory Mule Deer from the archery season through the late rifle season.  The property attracts a good population of does during the rut (November), and the bucks will frequent the property looking for does.  The area is known for trophy caliber bucks, and bucks over the 200” (B&C score) have been harvested on the property, with many bucks scoring in the 170”-200” range present over the years also.

  • Several Mule Deer in the 200” plus range have been harvested on the property.
  • Both typical and non-typical Mule Deer genetics are present on this ranch.
  • The ranch qualifies for the Landowner Preference Program (LPP), and will give the landowner preference when applying in the draw for the highly coveted Mule Deer tags. These tags can also be sold for income if desired.
