State Route 96 runs along the western shoreline. Scofield Reservoir is home to Rainbow & Cutthroat Trout, Mountain Sucker, Redside Shiner. Popular in winter for ice fishing as well. Nearby stream fishing can be found at Poundtown Creek, & Fish Creek.

Canoeing/Kayaking: The Price River springtime flow below the Scofield Dam offers Class I to V whitewater for 23.5 miles to Castle Gate.

Scofield Reservoir: Boating, camping, Wakeboarding, Water-skiing, Tubing, Swimming, Canoeing, Kayaking, & Fishing.

Hunting: Resident & Migratory Deer, Elk, Moose, Bear, & Mountain Lion travel frequent the ranch. Tags are handled through the Utah State Division of Wildlife Resources annual Draw. 

Hunt Unit: Central Mtns/Manti San Rafael Unit #s 12/16B/16C. Some adjacent properties are participants of the local CWMU.

HISTORY

Scofield Town is in Carbon County, Utah. Often associated with the well-know Mining Disaster of the 1900s. Pleasant Valley Coal Companys Winter Quarters Mine. Scofield lies in the bituminous coalfield of Carbon County and is nestled among the hills that surround upper Pleasant Valley. Scofield Town is situated along Mud Creek, just south of Scofield Reservoir. Price River is the outlet for the reservoir, flowing Southeast to the Green River and is thus part of the Colorado River Basin.
