Cresta Ranch
Property Description
Cresta Ranch is the perfect combination of a secluded paradise located in the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains with lush vegetation and large trees. The diverse landscapes includes mesas, several canyons, and a seasonal creek, making a wonderful combination of habitat that attracts the local wildlife. Located in GMU 85, this unit is known for producing trophy class bulls and offers Over-The-Counter (OTC) Elk tags for archery season and 2nd and 3rd rifle seasons. Mule Deer and Black Bear tags are available through the draw but require only a few preference points. Spring Turkey tags are available OTC.
Although the property is tucked away and feels very private, the property is close enough to the city of Trinidad that you have the benefits of a nearby city. A new manufactured home was added and has a cabin feel. The wrap around deck gives the occupants clear views of the Spanish Peaks and Greenhorn Peak, and is a great place to wrap up the day. Access to the property is through Fisher Peak Ranch, which has a Road Association that does road maintenance, and is gated with a new monthly code.
Trinidad is in the Purgatoire Valley and is the largest city in Las Animas county, and has restaurants, grocery shopping, basic amenities, and more. However, the area is still for outdoor enthusiasts with the options for hunting, camping, fishing, hiking, and seasonal boating. Close to the New Mexico border and the city is the starting point of the Highway of Legends Scenic Byway. Nearby are the Trinidad Lake State Park and Fisher’s Peak State Park.
