Scott Mabray brings a deep background in wildlife management and trophy hunting to the sporting property market in New Mexico. He holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology from Utah State University and has over a decade of hands-on experience managing big game herds, enhancing habitat, overseeing private hunting programs, and operating cow/calf ranches. This blend of real estate insight and science-based land management gives Scott a unique edge in serving his clients.
He currently serves as the Wildlife and Livestock Manager for Acoma Game and Fish and Acoma Land and Cattle, where he oversees wildlife, hunting, and habitat programs across 500,000 acres, along with a cow/calf operation spanning more than 200,000 acres. His work includes managing trophy-producing elk, mule deer, and pronghorn antelope populations; developing and implementing science-driven management strategies; marketing premium hunts; advising landowners on New Mexico’s EPLUS and habitat incentive programs; and assisting with federal grants and pasture insurance.
By evaluating a property’s hunting potential, habitat quality, and long-term viability, Scott offers a perspective grounded in wildlife biology and a lifelong passion for the outdoors. He is dedicated to preserving the land, improving habitat, and connecting sportsmen with the exceptional properties that define the Western lifestyle.
In his free time, Scott enjoys traveling and fishing with his wife Erin, pursuing big game throughout the West, and bird hunting with his Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. He is an Official Measurer for both the Boone and Crockett Club and Pope & Young Club and a lifetime member of the Mule Deer Foundation. His passion for wildlife and habitat fuels his mission to serve fellow hunters, landowners, and conservation-minded buyers and sellers.
