Adam Wells has a long career in ranch management, operations and personal ownership.  After his tour in the United States Marine Corps he graduated college with a degree in wildlife biology and geography from University of Northern Colorado. Adam then worked as the Wildlife Manager and Head Guide at a very prestigious ranch that focused on upland bird and waterfowl hunting. He started his own outfitting and guide business before getting hired as General Manager for one of the largest private Elk and Mule Deer hunting ranches in Northern Colorado. Adam finished his ranch management career as the General Manager of one of the largest shared amenities ranches. Currently, Adam manages the land improvement operations on two legacy properties of his. One in Western Colorado for Elk and Mule Deer and the other in Southwest Nebraska for Whitetail, waterfowl, Turkey and Wild Pheasant and Quail.

Adam is a very experienced big game hunter and guide for Western Big Game and whitetail specifically targeting and successfully harvesting the top end bucks and bulls in the area. He was also the head fly-fishing guide at one of the top lodges in the country, and currently spends as many day as possible fly fishing the flats in belize for the challenge of catching Permit and Tarpon on a fly. Bird dog training and bird hunting has also been a lifelong passion.

As much as Adam enjoys success in the field and on the water, his real specialty developing and executing land improvement plans to maximize the potential of a property for wildlife. He has developed a system to discover what wildlife requirements are missing on a property, and in the area, and improve those key requirements to increase the health and numbers of wildlife on the property. Adam enjoys working with production agriculture with a focus on how to develop management plans that also allow for the benefit of wildlife and recreation. In addition to understanding the habitat requirements for wildlife, Adam’s experience in managing and owning ranches gives him unique insight into everything needed to operate high end lodge and restaurant operations to small parcels of vacant land. Adam also has a vast experience in buying and selling his personal real estate and as a manager for large ranch owners buying and selling parcels.

Adam currently resides on a small farm in Western Colorado with his beautiful wife, two dogs and two horses.
