Mike’s experience, work ethic and business sense provide the foundation for being one of the premier brokers in the West. Mike’s enthusiasm and professionalism are second to none.

Mike Callan grew up in Breckenridge, Colorado where he spent countless days fishing, hunting and skiing throughout the Rocky Mountains. He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree from its College of Natural Resources. Mike has his private pilot’s license and is a Certified Casting Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers.

Mike’s passion for the outdoors grew throughout his time guiding float trips on the Colorado, Eagle and Roaring Fork rivers. It wasn’t long before he fulfilled a lifelong dream of working in Alaska where he spent four years as a manager and guide at one of Alaska’s premier fly fishing lodges. This opportunity allowed him to spend the winters on a ranch in Ellensburg, Washington. This was the perfect base camp to pursue wild Steelhead on the Olympic Peninsula, as well as Roosevelt Elk and Mule Deer in the Cascade Mountains.

Mike further broadened his reach in the outdoors industry working as a manufacturer’s sales representative for some of the world’s top fly-fishing companies. These included Sage Fly Rods, Ross Reels, Rio, Umpqua Feather Merchants, Tibor/Billy Pate Reels, Fishpond, Outcast Boats, Redington Tackle/Apparel, Renzetti Vises, Kaenon Sunglasses and Cloudveil Mountain/Angling Apparel.

After building a solid background in both business and the outdoors, Mike has spent the last decade representing some of the most sought-after ranch and recreational properties in both Colorado and Wyoming. It takes years of experience, combined with a powerful marketing plan, to dutifully represent the owners of these beautiful ranches.
