Barb’s passion of caring for others, her strong work ethic and love of Crested Butte made her choice of selling real estate seem like the perfect fit. Having lived in the suburbs of Chicago as a child and moved to Florida as a teen, she never had the opportunity to live in the mountains. However one ski trip to Crested Butte in 2001 changed all that. Living in the congested, fast paced city of Tampa with her husband and two young boys, that trip to Crested Butte had them leaving family and friends and moving out West! Barb’s background includes a nursing degree from Florida State University with time spent working as a nurse during the Persian Gulf War for the United States Air Force. She also has a Masters in Public Health and spent 10 years performing community health research for the University of South Florida. However when moving to Crested Butte in 2004, Barb decided to hang up her nursing and combat boots for a career in real estate. “I knew Crested Butte was truly a remarkable place and wanted to share my passion for it with others. I feel very fortunate to be living in paradise and raising our boys in such a safe, wonderful community. Passing that gift onto others considering buying in Crested Butte is a truly rewarding feeling.”
