Jessica was born in Fredericksburg, Tx and raised on a fifth generation cattle ranch in the heart
of the Texas Hill country. Jessica was raised to appreciate the land and learned from an early
age good, honest, hard work. She was taught a vast knowledge of livestock and how to raise
and work with them. She also spent a lifetime hunting, guiding hunters, trapping, and fishing.
This cultivated in her a tremendous respect and knowledge for wildlife, conservation, and
wildlife management practices. Through all this, she developed a deep and strong love for the
land. As she grew up on her family ranch, she was very active in 4-H, FFA leadership teams,
livestock judging teams, and land and range judging teams, along with working on the ranch.
All these experiences helped her grow an understanding of soils, grasses, trees, water,
livestock, and wildlife. Jessica went on to earn a degree from Stephen F. Austin State
University in Agriculture, furthering her knowledge in these areas.
Jessica loves the outdoors, enjoys participating in sporting clay tournaments, hunting, traveling
the world, working out, and spending time with her family. She is an avid outdoorsman and
passionate about big game hunting, and any hunt where she gets to pack in on horseback and
mules, utilizing her knowledge and experience in horsemanship. She particularly enjoys hunts
that are physically demanding and mentally challenging. She takes any opportunity she can to
travel and hunt whenever possible, and aspires to complete the North American Grand Slam.
Among her favorite hunts thus far have been an Alaskan Moose, a West Texas Aoudad, and a
Himalayan Tahr in New Zealand.
